About the Author

Misty Sapphire is the name; coloring books is the game! I’m new to the publishing world and teaching myself as a go! While my pen name is whimsical, in real life I’m an intensive care unit nurse whose traveled and worked all over the US.

During the COVID-19 pandemic I was working thousands of miles away from my friends and family. Trying to find things to do to de stress and take my mind off the state of the world, I turned to coloring to relax. It truly became an escape and helped create a time I could emotionally decompress and get lost in the colors and designs. My hope is to create coloring books that have the same effect on others as they did for me.

When I’m not working on a book, I like to spend time exploring different places with my partner. We’ve been to 10 national parks and hope to see more! I enjoy skiing on the green trails while my partner snowboards on the black diamonds and trying all kinds of different foods. I’m also a cat mom to a clingy and super sweet 7-year-old black cat. I also have a large extended family and love spending time with them when I can.
